Technical skills - Assessment Guide
- There are 15 skills in this section to be assessed with these skills being specific to the Quantity Surveying Students.
- Please note the grading system is to be used as a guide only with the actual grade being determined by the Tutor.
Grade (First Class) - the student will be expected to attain at least 5 C (statements) and 10 D's with no skills below level C.
Grade (2/1) - the student will be expected to attain an even mix of C's and D's e.g. 8 C's and 7 D's. It will be possible to have a few B's but the student would have to justify why there had been no development in this skill area. An example of justifiable cause would be where the student was not exposed to work, that could be used to constitute evidence.
Grade (2/2) - the student will be expected to attain a majority of C statements with B and D statements making up the remainder. An example would be 3 B's, 8 C's and 4 D's.
Grade (3rd) - the student will be expected to attain a fairly even mix of B's, C's and D's. An example would be 5 B's, 7 C's and 3 D's.
