What kind of evidence
should I cite?
The evidence that you choose to support your claim of competence may
come from any source. However, there are general principles
that should be followed when citing evidence.
These principles are that evidence should be:
- Valid (i.e. true)
- Specific (i.e. that it relates directly to the claim made)
- Current (i.e. the more recent the better)
- Sufficient (i.e. enough by itself or with other evidence to support
your claim)
- Authenticated (i.e. supported by the say so of another, e.g. witness
testimony)
- Documented (i.e. where possible that there is documentary support
for your claim)
